Adoption fees are non refundable under no circumstances

If I have too take a dog back because it growled, urinated, barked, or any reason where you choose to give the dog up rather than correct it and I have to take it back and do the work all over again it are not fair for you too even expect a refund. dogs growl for different reasons its not always because it's aggressive. dogs will toilet in the house if you don't take them out. strictly no refund so consider this before adopting a dog.

Zero tolerance

Please note Leicestershire Dogs/myself operate a zero tolerance policy too rude, argumentive, judgemental, dominating, controling people and anyone whom choose not too work with leicestershire Dogs. If I find it hard work dealing with you or trying too help you because of youre attitude the call will be terminated.

Adoption terms & conditions

1. .Adoption fees are non-refundable and are payable on the day of the adoption. This is not paid for the pet but to go towards funding too, help other pets needing my help. My minimum donation are £150 some dogs may be more depending on breed, size, and age..

2. The need for insurance is essential as the rescue will not be held responsible for the vet’s bills.

3. If the potential adopters want a dog too, live outside, it can only be a dog that is already used to living outside. 4.I

I do not re-home dogs too, be used for guarding, breeding, or anything other than as a family pet.

5. I do not place dogs in a family home where they will be left for longer than 4 hours a day at any one time. 6. The new adopter must agree too, have the pet either neutered or spayed within 3 months if the pet, for medical or age reasons has not been neutered or spayed yet.

7. New adopters must also agree that I can keep in touch for the rest of the pet's life. A follow-up visit may be arranged.

8. I do not normally re-home dogs to people who have 3 or more dogs.

9. If there are already dogs (or other pets of the same species as the adopted pet) they must be neutered or spayed.

10. If the new adopter already has a dog, I will only usually give them a dog of the opposite sex.

11. New adopters are not allowed too, re-home the pet themselves; the pet must come back to Leicestershire Dogs

12. New adopters must advise me immediately of any change in circumstances which would mean that the pet is not getting the attention etc, that the pet deserves.

13. If everything goes well at the Home Check and you are able to adopt a pet through me, you must be aware that you cannot at any time part with that pet for any reason, unless he/she comes back too, Leicestershire Dogs

16. After a bad experience with the last client I had, I will no longer let any of my dogs go to households with kids under the age of 10 years old. as from 16/08/2019

17. As from the 8TH of January 2020, any prospects wanting too, view a dog with the intent too, adopt will need to donate £20 online too, combat time wasters. If you adopt that dog your £20 will be refunded on the day. If I think you have deliberately wasted my time for example you can't give any genuine reason why you did not adopt after invading my privacy and time you will lose your £20. 18. Please note if you was to sell one of Leicestershire adopted dogs you will in prosecuted and made to pay compensation in a small claims court/

If you happen too, be interested in adopting a dog which is being re-homed from home/online we would like too, point out the adoption process will be slightly different, first and foremost you will need too complete and submit an on-line adoption form as standard, I will require 2 x references one of which must be professional. Once I have received the form I will establish if I can pay you a visit too, your premises too, carry out a vetting. Once I am happy I will then proceed too let you visit the dog in it's home. If the owner is happy with you/your family you should then contact me too, pay the adoption fee via my bank account or on the payment page which will go towards helping other pets in need. Once I have received the donation and it shows up on my system I will then give you the OK too, go back and pick the dog up where you will be able too, make arrangements too, keep in touch with the owner if you choose too,.

Adoption fees must be paid by the new owners either via instant bank transfer which shows straight away or cash before they can take the dog home. Please do not let your dog go without the OK from me as too, the adoption fee being paid. There is no charge too, you the owner unless it's hard too re-home dog i.e Staff / Bull breed or a dog with issues as stated in section 6 of my terms and conditions.

This only applies to whom have their dog at home being re-homed by me

Adopting a dog

  • We know moving can be stressful — and youre new dog feels the same way! Give it time to acclimate too youre home and family members before introducing it too strangers. Make sure children know how too approach the dog without overwhelming him. We highly recommenced all prospects watch our videos if you have kids an or other pets.
  • When you pick up youre dog we will tell you when and what it was fed. Replicate that schedule for at least 2 days too avoid gastric problems. If you wish too switch to a different brand, do so over a period of a week by adding one part new food to three parts of the old for several days; then switch too half new food, half old, and then 1 part old to three parts new.
  • On the way home, youre dog should be safely secured, preferably in a crate. Some dogs find car trips stressful, so having him in a safe place will make the trip home easier on him and you.

Secure a dog

Holding deposits are non-refundable

At Leics Dogs we have a system in place which allows you to secure a dog you would like too adopt / secure. If for example you live quite far away and need time too get to us for a dog you want or just don't have all the funds until such time. We are willing too hold a dog for a day or two with a non-returnable deposit of £50.00. However, you can pay for the dog outright but we would expect you too pick it up within 24 hours. Any time over that period we would then have to charge you £10.00 a day for board and food to where the dog are kept. For more information on securing or paying for a dog online feel free to contact us.

Returning a dog

We have been re-homing dogs for the last 15 years and have and have never had any more than three dogs returned or decided too take it back for one reason or another, we strongly recommend prospects to watch our videos before completing an adoption form as not everyone has experience or the knowledge that are required to keep a dog, for example, if you handle a dog in the wrong way you are more likely too get negative results such as aggression under no circumstances we will refund a donation on a client wanting too return a dog or for us too pick it up from a distance away as it all costs money. Therefore please read this videos below before you adopt a dog from us as no rescue in the country will refund a donation fee and us as a small charity stick too the same policies. However, if we decide too take a dog back you will need to return it too us as if we have to collect it cost for pick up may be charged unless you bring it half of the way. you can complete the return form below on returning a pet.
